Maneuvers(SIV) Clinics

Maneuvers or SIV, what is it? SIV: From the French Phrase: " Simulation d'Incidents de Vols". In English,  "Simulation of Incidents in Flight". Astro Paragliding's Maneuvers(SIV) Clinics offer to provide the safest environment for incident response training. We only train over water, employing best-practice safety protocols. The clinics start with an extensive classroom session where we review towing, and check your gear for rescue connection and appropriate sizing. We discuss the syllabus of maneuvers that you can practice, how to deploy your reserve, and how to act in the water. Tow days start before sunrise with a tow pilot briefing. Pilots typically get 3-4 tows per day, for two days. Clinics are small and limited to four(4) pilots per session. Smaller groups allow a more thorough debrief after every run, a more personalized experience, and a higher degree of safety. This is where you gain the confidence to resolve most in-flight incidents. Most pilots find a higher comfort level after participating, reducing fear and increasing feel-good flying moments.  Ultimately we strive to put more tools in your flying toolbox. All of this happens in a fun, stress-free few days. Please pay for all reservations at the time of booking.
